Founder & CEO Abdominal Cancer Day

This research initiative assessed the effectiveness of a large-scale campaign, LET'S TALK AbC, to increase early screening and understanding of Abdominal Cancer in South Asian communities. The results of the campaign demonstrated substantial increases in campaign awareness and early indicators. On the topic of early detection, there were many reports of individuals encouraging others as well. Within the constraints of the design, the results are interpreted as demonstrating that the Abdominal Cancer Day campaign had a significant impact.

The first pilot and known research ever taken to date which have primarily employed a habit formation approach to achieving positive dietary changes patinets with long term illnesses. The impact of small but sustained positive dietary behavioral changes which are facilitated by yogic eating and healing methods, which improved overall quality of life. Furthermore, community based support intervention increased automaticity for healthy dietary behaviours, which could translate into clinically meaningful benefits in this cohort of communities.

Present Research was designed as community based participatory research, where Ayurveda management from acute in-patient care to a community-focused treatment and rehabilitation was studied. In this evaluation study, we traced the journey of Ayu-Psychiatry Care project, set up as community based mental health rehabilitation program in rural and sub-urban areas of India, from acute in-patient care to a community-focused treatment and rehabilitation. The findings of the study and the principles of long-term international cooperation are laid out by the authors.
