ETHICS

The Ethics and Governance handles all queries related to ethics and data management at the Aarogyam (UK) CIC, including whether ethical review is necessary for our research and whether this review needs to be conducted internally or externally.

 

The Independent Ethics Committees reviews and approves research ethics applications, and the overarching partnered University Research Ethics Committee which oversees ethical issues and processes.

Data Protection

Our policy for personal data for research purposes can meet the requirements for the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK Data Protection Act 2018 that both apply in the UK from 25 May 2018.

Any major changes are communicated to researchers but we encourage our researchers to confirm changes before starting the study. We are responsible for conducting research with integrity which includes complying with all laws and regulations. To oversee Data management, we have assigned regulatory "data monitoring board" which comprises of Independent members to ensure safety and integrity of data. 

Scientific Integrity 

Aarogyam (UK) CIC is committed to the highest standards of research integrity and takes any concerns raised about the conduct of research very seriously. To prevent any scientific misconduct, we have policy and procedures in place. 

Any concerns or complaints about potential research misconduct will be reviewed in the first instance by our Core governing body and discussed under research and evaluation teams.
