Lead Active Movement Therapy

Rakesh Patel is highly innovative experienced active mind body movement experts who has worked with children, young people and families for over two decades in a variety of educational and social care settings in UK. He has mentored and provided community intervention for children through difficult experiences and times in their lives specialising in trauma, attachment, anxiety, depression, and stressful transitions. He has extensive experience in supporting children with a range of Behavioural, Emotional and Social difficulties and has been expert to use play as a medium for understanding and communicating with children about their feelings, thoughts and behaviours.

 

He uses active play also in a form of counselling or psychotherapy that uses play to communicate with and help people to prevent or resolve psycho-social challenges. His recent research contribution have shown the effectiveness of active play as a valid therapeutic technique in adults and the elderly people (of all ages). 

 

He organise and supervise active play programs of all ages in group, where it is more social interaction and competitive environment that encourages the adults to out-stand themselves. He has worked with range of community programs and charities in UK as well as served volunteer expert and advisor on UK Africa initiative.
